Wendover u3a membership year runs from 1st October to the 30th September. The annual subscription is £15 payable annually on 1st October. The first-year fee is reduced to £7.50 for those joining on or after 1st April and if you join on or after the 1st September you'll pay £15 but your membership will run until 30th September the following year.

Wendover u3a also welcomes members of other u3a to take part in some of its group activity, provided there is space. In such cases you must join as an Associate member of Wendover u3a. There is currently no fee for becoming an Associate member, although we reserve the right to make a charge in the future to cover our costs. You will be notified, prior to the next renewal date if we decide to charge a fee.

Privacy

Wendover u3a is very careful to look after personal information which you supply to us in accordance with the Data Protection Regulations. Our Privacy Statement includes details of how we use the information that you will supply when you join. Please click Privacy Statement to read.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer you can authorise Wendover u3a to claim Gift Aid, which is 25% of the membership fee. New members who live at the same address, can apply for Joint Membership which allows Wendover u3a to claim Gift Aid on both subscriptions as long as the first member is a UK taxpayer and ticks the Gift Aid declaration on the form.

If you pay less income tax and/or capital gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid on all your donations in that Tax Year, is it your responsibility to pay any difference.

You will be able to opt to give Gift Aid when you complete the new member form having opted to 'Agree & Join'.

New Member of Wendover u3a

If you would like to join Wendover u3a as a new member then please read the Terms and Conditions before choosing the 'Agree and Join' link below. Following that link will take you to Wendover u3a's Beacon Information Management System which will hold your personal details securely.

In addition to your personal details, please ensure that you complete the Emergency Contact details (Contact Name, Relationship to you, phone number) - these details will be made available to Group Convenors of any groups you join so that, in an emergency, they know who to contact. For Associate members, please also provide the name of the u3a where you are a Full member, together with your membership number.

If there is a fee to be paid, Beacon will connect you to PayPal to take payment - this is a reputable company for managing payments. NOTE : You do not need a PayPal account, nor do you need to set up a PayPal account. You can use your own debit or credit card. Your card details will not be stored by either Wendover u3a or PayPal.

You will receive an email from Wendover u3a with details of how to obtain your membership card, together with some of the details you entered - please check that these are accurate and let the Membership Secretary (membership@wendoveru3a.org.uk) know if anything is incorrect.

Also, if you have made a payment, you will receive a Payment Confirmation email from PayPal.

Once you are a Wendover u3a member you will then have the opportunity to join individual groups that interest you, as long as they have spaces. If a particular group is full, you can ask to go on a waiting list or maybe even consider starting a new group yourself. All the groups and contact details for the individual Group Convenors can be found on our website.

"THIRD AGE MATTERS" - THE U3A NEWSLETTER

When you join Wendover u3a you automatically become a member of the National u3a movement at www.u3a.org.uk. This means you have access to u3a guidance and initiatives and, in particular, will receive their Third Age Matters (TAM) magazine. You can opt out of receiving the magazine by emailing database@wendoveru3a.org.uk if you no longer need a copy.
